This is the Kafkaesque tale of how one man's loss of identity papers resulted in him being stranded at Charles de Gaulle airport for 16 years, and as of 2004 is still living there. Without the necessaqry travel documents and with no proof of his refugee status, Mehran Naseri Karimi found himself caught in a bureaucratic nightmare, unable to escape his bizarre prison. HIs story became the basis of Steven Spielberg's movie "The Terminal", starring Tom Hanks.
