Description: It's Chirstmas in the Nesbitt household but Rab can't see why he should celebrate the festive period, but Mary want to enjoy Chirstmas, which means war. Rab is trying to fiddle a giro out of the D.H.S.S by making out that Gash has ringworm and that Burney has TB, needless to say that he has no joy, well what would you expect?, it's Christmas. Rab is also horrified to learn that Jamesie is working as Santa Claus at a Govan Department store, Rab ends up in jail for causing a disturbance and is put on hunger strike which makes him have hallucinations. He isn't five minutes out of jail and he has already caused a dispute in his house by throwing Mary's dinner out of the window as she hasn't cooked his dinner.
