In 1987 Vincent and Candy made a five-minute film with an original song composed by Lanny Meyers, A Warm Reception in L.A., using a style that had interested them for a long time - neon colors over a black background. The film received many awards from national and international film festivals and was acquired by The Museum of Modern Art Film Archive.
