The inactivity lasted until Argentinian producers found that in Uruguay the production costs were lower, and no type of union pressure hampered production. Argentinian money founded a laboratory. The immediate results of these investments were four films made between 1946 and 1948. The first of them, "Los tres Mosqueteros", by Julio Saraceni starring Armando Bo and Roberto Airaldi based on the novel by Alexander Dumas. (Cinema of Uruguay)
