The screening of the restored film Lisinski by pioneer Croatia filmmaker Oktavijan Miletic, at the Tuskanac theatre on Tuesday, marked World Audiovisual Heritage Day and 30 years of Croatian cinema. On hand was Srecko Sestan the director of the Directorate for Performing Arts and Audiovisual Affairs, representing Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic, as well as Niksa Svilicic, the director of the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. Both emphasized the need to preserve Croatia film heritage. This film, which is of great importance to Croatia, was restored last year by Hrvatska Kinoteka (the Croatian Kinotheque), and what is especially pleasing is that for Christmas this year, it will be released on DVD, making it available to the wider public.
